John Harvey

John Harvey graduated from Kingston University in 1979 with a BA (Hons) in Design and then worked in a number of design and architectural consultancies until co-founding Din Associates in 1987. Din Associates went on to become one of the UK’s leading Design Consultancies, working in the Retail, Cultural, Leisure and Commercial sectors.

John has made TV and radio appearances commenting on design, a judge on D&AD and RSA design awards and a board member for the Design Business Association (DBA). He has been a visiting lecturer at a number of UK universities and has spoken at conferences including the Cannes Lions Advertising Awards and UK retail & design conferences. John is a  DTI Committee Member on exporting British Design to the USA and a recipient of a number of design awards including a D&AD yellow pencil, DBA design effectiveness & DesignWeek.

John lives in Broadstairs, Kent and is a board director of Broadstairs Food Festival CIC, a business mentor for the Prince’s Trust and works with a number of Thanet based volunteer organisations.
