Wa'qaar Mirza

Wa’qaar is a filmmaker specialising in social impact issues and children’s animation. He is CEO and Creative Director of Safi Ideas, an incubation hub for new business ideas. A social impact entrepreneur with over 40 years’ experience in the creative business, marketing, and charity sectors, Wa’qaar has held senior positions at leading global media, financial & consumer brands including PWC, BT, BBC and HSBC.

He has been a board member of many well-known charities including the RVS. Wa’qaar has consulted around the world and was part of the team that created the first Islamic mortgage with the Al Buraq in London, and he has worked with a Qatar group in designing the financial structure of an affordable housing programme for Africa and Asia.

He is working currently on a radical disruptive model in home purchase plan and home ownership, looking for investors and financial institutional partners.
