Led by photographer Arnold Borgerth, this course will enable you to expand your darkroom skills in black and white photographic printing, learning how to get the most from your photographic image. This course is aimed at those with prior experience in the darkroom and those keen to progress from our Shooting on Film workshop.

Looking at each image, you will work on one or two photographs exploring various ways to adjust and improve your images in the printing process. You will gain experience and confidence in the printing process working in our fully equipped darkroom. You should bring with you a processed black and white film. If you need to process a film in advance of the course or for any other info please contact darkroom@themargateschool.com

The course will cover:

-Darkroom practice and archival basics

-The negative and correct exposure
