Recruitment is now OPEN for courses starting October 2023
We are excited to announce that we are now recruiting students to our flagship European MA in Fine Art as well as our one-year Visual Communications and Sound Arts courses starting in October 2023.
If you’re looking for postgraduate study with international links, the rigour of a European qualification and an alternative arts approach, then we invite you to join us as a student and studio holder to learn, make, show and connect through TMS.
A Kingston University study of future skills[i] found that the top ten skills required over the next two decades are problem solving, critical thinking, communication, digital skills, analysis, adaptability, resilience, creativity, relationship building and initiative. Postgraduate learning at TMS will set you up not only with these in-demand skills but with the ability to continually develop your understanding of the interactions between art, society and nature that will be crucial to the future for all of us.
On joining TMS, our students become part of a creative community with multidisciplinary artists, writers, studio holders, residencies, gallery hire, technical facilities, open access courses and community initiatives.
Top ten reasons to study with TMS 1. Be part of a pioneering liberal arts school in a vibrant, creative seaside town (with amazing beaches). 2. Develop your sustainable art practice, recognising the interdependencies between art, society and nature. 3. Learn from outstanding tutors, guest lecturers and visiting professionals. 4. Earn a degree qualification (MA students only) that is recognised across Europe and opens up opportunities for graduates to teach at EU universities. 5. Build your portfolio and network of artists, curators, creative and cultural employers. 6. Benefit from being part of a small student cohort with the chance to build individual relationships and ready access to staff and tutors. 7. Use our fantastic facilities including our FabLab, photography darkroom and exhibition space as part of your course fee and receive discounts to public events, outside facilities and businesses. 8. Work part-time or take time for other activities, alongside study, with flexibility outside of taught modules on set days. 9. Connect with others through our monthly FabLunches, TMS Film Club, workshops and events 10. Get involved with our Community Garden and a range of public projects, or collaborate with the community to start your own. Read more and apply now.
