The Margate School Art&Design Saturday Club has Graduated!

On Saturday the 13th of July, we had the pleasure of taking our Art&Design Saturday Club to Somerset House for their Graduation and to see their work at the National Saturday Club Summer Show, alongside work from Clubs around the country. Together, we created protest banners highlighting ecological and social issues important to the younger generation. Once the Summer Show is over we will showcase this brilliant work at Ark Cliftonville and then in October it will join the Margate Festival of Design!

The Margate School Art&Design Saturday Club has empowered young people to develop practical skills in graphic design, sustainable practices, screen printing, and DIY skills. Guided by local professionals from the creative field, workshops included Natural Dyeing with EIRINN HAYHOW, Typography with Cosmic Roy, Lego Printing with Jenny Duff, with all sessions led by Dream Safari and CheapBitter from Loser Gang, along with 3 amazing volunteers, Lillie, Luke & Michaela.

Sign up for the next National Saturday Club at the Margate School, due to start in early October.
