The Margate School’s Advisory Group
Our Board of Directors and the whole of the School are delighted to announce the launch of The Margate School’s Advisory Group.
The voluntary Group draws together local, regional, national and international experts from the UK and around the world. Our Board of Directors is delighted to be supported by the specialist skills and expertise of such a range of artists, tutors, researchers, policymakers, opinion formers, leaders and community group representatives from disciplines and sectors which are key to our current programming and future development.
Our Advisors join us at an exciting time in the development of The School. Based in the centre of Margate, we offer the first accredited European Fine Art Masters programme in the UK, postgraduate courses in design and sound art whilst being firmly rooted in our local community, reaching out through events, workshops, talks and exhibitions.
By ensuring close synergy between our academic provision and community-focussed activities, we strive to ensure that seamless facilities and networks are in place to deliver creative engagement opportunities which support career progression and business development within the creative sector.
Our Advisors will offer their informed independent advice, acting as key links between The Margate School and the constituent formal and informal communities we embrace to ensure that our work is shaped by, and relevant to, a diversity of current perspectives.
