Visual Communication Tutors Announced

Tutors have now been confirmed for our 1-year post graduate course in Visual Communication: Design, Society, Nature.


We’re pleased to announce that we have the following joining us:

Tony Pritchard - Visual Language and Typography

Tony Pritchard SFHEA FISTD PgCert L&T is a graphic design educator and practitioner. Tony has worked freelance and with the design consultancy Root 2 Design. He has run postgraduate courses in visual communication at London College of Communication. Tony has been an external examiner for numerous UK higher education institutions. He is a board member for ISTD. Tony will be teaching the Visual Language and Typography modules. See more of Tony's work here


Phil Gomm - Image and Narrative


Based in Whitstable, Phil Gomm is an award-winning writer, director and producer with twenty years’ experience teaching students about design, film, and storytelling. Phil is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Phil is a practicing photographer, film-maker, and blogger at reds-kingdom.blog, and communications director of Ding, a consultancy specialising in creative education. Graham Wood - Identity


Graham co-founded the studio Tomato, and then was ECD at JWT NYC. He worked with Flo Heiss to form Studio Heiss, before freelancing. He has worked on projects from Michael Jordan’s retirement to the Playstation launch, creating a universe for Stephen Hawking, global product launches for Unilever and Sony, live visual performances with Underworld at Glastonbury,...from Obama’s election to Malcom Mclaren’s last project, interactive installations and global communications, design, typography, motion and digital for clients as diverse as Nike and Smirnoff. Libby Scarlett - Human Centered Design


Libby Scarlett is a communication designer/artist and educator currently based in London. She has experience working with diverse communities through self-initiated projects, commissions and freelance work with organisations such as the Wellcome Trust (UK), Marpha Foundation (Nepal) and Innovation Unit (UK). She has also taught as an Associate Lecturer on the Graphic Design course at Manchester School of Art since 2016. Libby is our Human Centred Design tutor. Katarina Dimitrijevic - Critical Studies & Design History


Interior architect, design activist, educator and researcher. Katarina is the principal member at KraalD social praxis, committed to promoting design as a vehicle for social transformation. Katarina's PhD research is funded by the AHRC Design Star CDT.
